  • 1. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REG. & AUCTION DEPOSIT

      You need to submit such documents as below.

      Customers in Japan:
      1) Copy of Used Items Business Permits (KOBUTSUSHO KYOKASHO)
      2) Copy of identification document (Residence card copy)

      Customers from overseas:
      Passport copy

      Auction deposit of 50,000yen is required.

      Refundable.
      If there is an unpaid amount, we'll refund the rest, deducting the amount from the deposit amount.

      "KOBUTSUSHO KYOKASHO" is absolutely required, if you do business in Japan.
      Contact the police station which has the jurisdiction over the location of your business office and do the procedure for it.

  • 2. HOW TO REGISTER & CUSTOMER ID/ PASSWORD

      You can use our service by following the below steps.

      1) Please register newly from this page.
      2) Please submit the required documents. It takes about 1 business day to review the documents. Please wait for our contact.

      ID is issued and mentioned in the email you receive after registration is completed.

  • 3. HOW TO PURCHASE
    • A.
      We've adopted the bidding-up system. "Current price" is the current maximum bidding price.
      The bid increment is 1,000yen-5,000yen, which differs from vehicle to vehicle.
      Or you can place your maximu price, and the system will place bids automatically.

      There are two sales methods, "Stock" and "Tender".

      Stock: The customer who offered the list price first can purchase it.
      Tender: Customers who offer the highest price above the list price (minimum winning bid) can purchase.

      The selling price and timing are not decided.
      We will put this vehicle on auction in about 2 weeks. Please put it into your 'Bookmark' list, if you are interested in it.We will send an automatic mail to you when the vehicle goes on sale.

    • A.
      It is a vehicle that we negotiate for purchase with the amount bid by the customer.
      It may take some time to confirm the purchase, and negotiations may break down, so please agree before participating. The purchase right holder can earn 5,000"Tau Points" regardless of whether the purchase is successful or not.
      In addition, bid (successful bid) cannot be canceled.

      CHANCE AUTION: The customer who wins the auction can be the purchase right holder.
      CHANCE TENDER: The customer whose offer price is highest can be the purchase right holder.

      You cannot cancel your bid, once you place it. Check carefully vehicle information and all other charges before placing a bid.
      Cancellation penalty is charged on you, if you cancel your purchase.

  • 4. BIDS & OFFERS
    • A.
      Login -> "My Page" -> "MY AUCTION" -> "MY AUCTION(IN PROCESS)" -> "in process"
      If a crown mark is displayed, you are in the first place. This page is not updated automatically, so please update it manually to view it.

    • A.
      Only the customer who bids the highest bid at the end of the auction can negotiate within 3 hours after the end of the auction. The "Business negotiation" button will be displayed in the auction history on My Page. Click it and enter your desired purchase price.

      If the minimum bid amount has been reached, "Reached the reserved price" will be displayed in red at the bottom of the car body amount on the bid screen.

      If you win a car, the car's name will be posted on the following page for 90 days.

      You will also receive an automatic email with the winning bid amount.

      If there is a bid 5 minutes before the end time of the auction, the auction time will be automatically extended by 3 minutes. (There are also exceptions.)

  • 5. PAYMENT
    • A.
      As soon as it is issued, it will be available from the following.
      Login -> "My Page" -> "Purchased History" -> Click the applicable vehicle invoice number.

    • A.
      The payment deadline comes in 2 business days after the purchase.
      If you are late, payment delay penalty of 10.000 yen will be charged on you.
      If the product price does not arrive within 7 business days, the sales contract will be canceled and a cancellation penalty will be incurred.

      * Cancellation penalty amount
      Products with unit price of below 1,000,000 JPY: 100,000 yen
      Products with unit price of 1,000,000 yen or higher: 10% of the unit price

  • 6. DELIVERY & PICK-UP OF VEHICLES

      Please contact us if you want to know delivery costs for trucks, motorcycles and other products.

      Click "Change Trade Terms" button -> Select Trade Term: Goods Price & Delivery -> Enter necessary information -> Click "Set delivery conditions" button -> You can see the cost in the "Inland Delivery" field

      Reservations can only be made during the reservation acceptance period.
      Please use the WEB reservation.

      Reservation acceptance period: From the completion of delivery preparation to 11:45AM (Japan time) the day before the scheduled pick-up date.

      Pick up your vehicle in 5 business days (if it's a truck, then 10 business days) after payment confirmation date.
      Otherwise there is pick-up delay penalty of 10,000yen every 5 business days after the deadline is over.

  • 7. OVERSEAS SHIPPING SERVICE

      It's a ship designed to carry vehicles. We can ship used vehicles and damaged vehicles in good condition in RORO ships.
      Whether you can use RORO or not depends on your destination port and the trade situation in the world, so make an inquiry in advance, preparing stock numbers.

      Special Protection Service.
      It's an optional service you can use, when we ship your car overseas.
      SPS begins when your vehicle leaves TAU service center for the loading port. And it finishes after 30 days pass from the arrival date of the shipping. Click here for details.

  • 8. PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
    • A.
      Premium members can recieve various benefits such as TAU points granting service.
      Anyone with a regular member ID that has the authority to participate in TAU auction can join the Premium Membership.

      "Join Premium Member" button in the page above will direct you to the customer agreement page. Read agreement, click on "I AGREE", and you can move to a new page, where you can input your credit card information.After inputting necessary information and clicking on "Next Step", the registration process and credit card settlement are complete.

      You can find 6 benefits of Premium membership here.

      The only payment method available is credit card payment.
      Only 5 brands are available: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and Diners.

      The membership fee for the first month will be deducted at the time of enrollment.
      Membership fees for the following months will be automatically deducted on the 25th of every month in advance from the credit card registered at the time of enrollment.
      Please note that the membership fee will not be prorated even if you enroll in the middle of the month.

      The number of vehicles (cars, trucks, buses) purchased (Issuance of the proforma invoice to the full payment) from the 21st of the month before the previous month to the 20th of the previous month during the period of being a Premium Member x 15,000 TAU points will be granted on the 1st of every month.
      If the membership fee is not settled on the 25th of the month before the point granting date, or if the withdrawal procedure has been completed and the payment is not made, points will not be granted on the 1st of the following month.

      Video Viewing Service is limited to Premium members only.
      Please make requests by 11:45AM (Japan time) one business day before the end date of the auction.
      We will send you a video link by email by the end time of the Auction.

  • 9. OTHERS

      You can post a review of your purchased vehicle.
      Login -> "My Page" -> "Purchased History" -> Click "Post Review" in the corresponding vehicle column
      You can get TAU POINTS when the review meets out standards. You can check the standards below.

      ・ Delivery of vehicles less than 6 months.
      ・ Comments to be 35 characters long or more.
      ・ All evaluation items rated.
      ・ Share the photos took by your side .
      ・ In the case of repeated comments, only one comment is valid

      1 Tau Point can be changed to 1 yen.You can use "Tau Point", when you purchase our goods, like cars, trucks, motorcycles and forklifts.
      In addition to Premium Membership, you may also earn points by posting review and from occasional campaigns. Points have an expiration date.

      Please select "Use" in bid pages. An invoice will be issued with the points reflected.

      * If you select "Don't use", you cannot change it to "Use" later.
      * Points can only be used in a lump sum (up to the goods amount) and cannot be divided.
      * Points cannot be transferred or resold.
      * Points can only be used to purchase of vehicles. It cannot be used for other services such as penalties.
      * You can check the number of points you own and the expiration date by yourself.
