Shipping Methods
Container Vessel
Purchased vehicles will be shipped in 20FT/40HC containers.
The number of units that can be loaded into a container varies depending on the type, size, and condition of the vehicles, so please confirm with the sales representative in advance.
Loading Fee (Container Vessel)
A 40HC container can accommodate multiple units depending on the type and combination of vehicles.
On the forklift bidding page, the loading fee for "6-9 units per container" is displayed. The following is the fee per unit.

The same rate applies regardless of container size (20FT or 40FT HC). On the forklift bidding page, the THC fee for "6-9 units per container" is displayed. The following is the fee per unit.

This service covers various damages that may occur from the time the vehicle leaves TAU's service center until it reaches the designated delivery destination.
We recommend using this service when exporting vehicles.

If a forklift is successfully bid, a sales commission of 20,000 JPY (excluding tax) per unit will be charged separately.
Please note that the total invoice amount will be the offer price plus the 20,000 JPY (excluding tax) sales commission.
Storage Fee
For overseas shipping (container transport), up to 90 days of storage (HOLD) is available after the sale is confirmed.
If the storage period exceeds 90 days, a penalty of 30,000 JPY will be charged, and an additional storage fee of 1,000 JPY per day per unit will be applied.
Example: If stored for 94 days: 30,000 JPY + 4,000 JPY = 34,000 JPY
Cancellation Penalty
A cancellation penalty will be charged if the purchase is canceled.
- Vehicle price under 1,000,000 JPY: 100,000 JPY per unit
- Vehicle price of 1,000,000 JPY or more: 10% of the vehicle price per unit
- If canceled after delivery to the port, inland removal fees, port storage fees, and transportation costs will be charged separately.
Other Costs
- Ocean freight charges fluctuate monthly. Therefore, already invoiced ocean freight charges may change according to the shipping month.
Additional surcharges may apply due to sudden changes in circumstances.
- BL amendments after customs clearance will incur a correction fee.
- All the above costs are incurred in Japan. Please check local costs by yourself.
